Possible corruption charges, it is probably just his pro-independence stance that has brought the wrath of the Guomindang.

Ha! Well, I guess you could say I am a distantly interested observer of the machinations of Taiwanese politics. Actually, today, Abian the former president of Taiwan (the fellow pictured for those of you not following state politics in Taiwan), is now on a hunger strike, big news on the 9 or 10 cable news networks I get.
